Mansio Aquis Originis
The mansio was a resting place located in the vicinity of roads with heavy traffic, similar to modern lodgings. Aquis Originis specifically was about 500 square meters. Its location was not accidental as it was installed to take advantage of a natural upwelling of hot springs, so prized by the Romans for their baths.
Apparently, the complex was built in the second half of the first century, but nothing remains of that period. What we can find are remains of the reforms suffered between the second and third centuries AD, and between the IV and V.
